'A legend has indeed fallen' Jomo Sono mourns death of footballer Phil Masinga

Jomo Cosmos Football Club's coach Jomo Sono has joined the many South Africans sending their heartfelt condolences to the family of the former South African Footballer Phil 'Chippa' Masinga.

Masinga passed away on Sunday after a long illness.

A legend has indeed fallen, I feel very sad and helpless because to him I was not just a coach, I was a father and a friend.

Sono adds that he discovered Masinga in a tournament in Steelfontein and what he remembers about Masinga was that even though he was a tall skinny player he had a lot of skill.
