To celebrate the 107th anniversary and to launch their election manifesto, African National Congress (ANC) members gathered at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday.
Party members from all nine provinces filled the stadium to hear what their leaders had to say.
ANC NEC member Jackson Mthembu says the event was a success and highlights that at the party's 64th conference, the party took a decision to renew the movement, unify its members and deal with corruption.
Based on these three areas, comes the manifesto. You can't deal with corruption, renew the movement and deal with unity of the movement and the people of South Africa unless you transform the economy to serve all our people.— Jackson Mthembu, ANC NEC Member
He adds that the anchor of the manifesto is to ensure that the economy is an economy of all South Africans that is inclusive of all people immaterial of race.
