British MPs are set to vote on Prime Minister Theresa May's deal to leave the European Union on Tuesday night.

British MPs are set to vote on Prime Minister Theresa May's deal to leave the European Union on Tuesday night.

Britain is scheduled to exit from the EU on 29 March.

There has been mounting uncertainty as some critics expect a parliamentary defeat for what has been described as a hard-fought agreement.

READ: 'There are rumours that almost whichever way Brexit goes it will be bad news'

Karima Brown spoke to Associate Editor at Daily Maverick Brooks Spector amid the final day of debate in the House of Commons.

Nobody can really tell you what is going to happen and that is quite extraordinary for a parliamentary or legislative vote, for everybody to say we really don't know what's going to happen.

Brooks Spector, Associate Editor at Daily Maverick

Keep in mind Thersea May has had a couple of years to get the agreement with the EU, she got the agreement, came back, nobody likes it....she is left defending a proposal which does not have a whole lot of friends for it.

Brooks Spector, Associate Editor at Daily Maverick

On the other hand, people are beginning to realise that if they vote this proposal down then the obvious question is ok, now what do we do?
