'Breytenbach testimony brought important issues to light'

Former state prosecutor Glynnis Breytenbach has given testimony at the Mokgoro Commission of Inquiry on Tuesday saying that both Nomgcobo Jiba and Lawrence Mrwebi were not fit to hold office.

Retired Constitutional Court justice Yvonne Mokgoro is investigating the two advocates fitness to hold office.

Specialist reporter and journalist at Tiso Blackstar, Karyn Maughan says there were important issues that Breytenbach brought to light.

Essentially, that the unlawful successful attempts to suspend her (Breytenbach) and run her out of her position.

Maughn says Breytenbach also revealed the Kumba ICT matter, the company in which Duduzani Zuma and the Guptas had shares.

She testified that the company had essentially fraudulently got mineral rights which they were not entitled to through someone in the department of mineral resources.
