Emotional Mitchells Plain caller says nothing has changed since apartheid'

Dawood a caller on The Eusebius McKaiser Show says, what a lot of black people don't know is that their chiefs sat down with the apartheid government and negotiated about land and money.

Those talks that were held there are one of the primary reasons why many black people are still living in poverty today.

Dawood, Caller

They need to go and investigate what Lucas Mangope, Kaiser Matanzima and Oupa Gqozo negotiated with the apartheid government for their homelands.

Dawood, Caller

He adds that the revelations at the Zondo Commission into State Capture just prove that everyone is corrupt.

Who do we then trust? After we have been bitten countless times. I am listening to the figures at the commission and I am shocked.

Dawood, Caller

This Cheeky Watson guy was nothing back in the day. He just sided with the black people so that he can get millions out of them.

Dawood, Caller

The white people in this country can tell me whatever they want, but 400 years of colonialism has caused people to still suffer from what they did to us. And yet, up to today, these people don't want to acknowledge what they have done and nothing has changed.

Dawood, Caller

He says he is still living in Mitchells Plain and nothing has changed.

My people are still getting the short end of the stick.

Dawood, Caller

We still have to get up the earliest, we still come home late and we still earn the least money. I was working over the weekend at a restaurant and these people spent R2500 on breakfast. This is ridiculous!

Dawood, Caller

Eusebius weighed in on the conversation and asked Dawood, that aside from the historical theft by white people, how does he feel about black people being in charge for half a century?

What is Zuma's legacy? What is Cyril's legacy? He is not a white man and what is Mandela's legacy? He was not a white man? The ANC is not a white party, what is their legacy?

Eusebius McKaiser, Presenter

Dawood responded by saying that the party has not learnt from their predecessor's mistakes.

They haven't learned anything from what the white people did to us for the hundreds of years. If we go as far back as the USA, white people there are like locusts. They have gone all over the world and devastated it.

Dawood, Caller

The Queen of England still has our Cullinan diamond in her crown jewels that were stolen from this country. And yet no one is taking her to the United Nations Tribunal and hold them accountable for crimes against humanity.

Dawood, Caller
