[WATCH] Singer Berita on working with Oliver Mtukudzi and her new music

Afro-Soul singer and songwriter, Berita has described some of her best musical moments with the late Oliver Mtukudzi and Hugh Masekela.

The multi award-winning, gold-selling artist has shared many stages and worked closely with Mtukudzi over the years.

She recently dropped her first single off her new independent record company ASSALI MUSIC, called 'Ndicel’ Ikiss'.

She joined Lee Kasumba in studio to share her new music and some career highlights.

It was the most wonderful experience of my life thus far, Baba Oliver Mtukudzi first discovered me when I had just put out my first album in 2012. He invited me to his home studio and arts centre and we recorded a song together which ended up featuring Bra Hugh Masekela.

Berita, Afro-Soul singer and songwriter

I think I stepped into greatness and I just soaked it in. Those were some of my best moments with him, sharing the stage on and off, his candidness, his wisdom, so much kindness in one person.
