Its parents, teachers and coaches who pass on either a fixed or a growth mindset. Parents really need to be awake about their own mindsets, whether they are growth or fixed. Fixed mindset people often experience limited success because they make little effort to develop what they believe are fixed abilities. They often tie success with innate talent, abilities, skills and personality traits, because they believe they are pre-determined and unchangeable.

Speaking to Phemelo on the Weekend Breakfast, Nikki said, people are capable of lifting their skills and developing. Fixed mindset people like to brushoff setbacks and problems. They try to forget them instead of learning from them.

One of the many things we know about successful people is that, they are very good at reflecting back on what has happened and learning from their mistakes.
