Eusebius McKaiser and callers weigh in on this manifesto and what it means for ordinary South Africans.

What are your thoughts on the event itself, and have you read the manifesto, are you going to read it? I am very interested in that question. I wonder whether we come to manifestos, disinterested because we already have so much data accumulated in our heads at a party or a politician that we are not going to be swayed by a manifesto.

Eusebius McKaiser, presenter

Do party manifestos make any difference, asks Eusebius?

It was incredibly detailed, well thought out and the is lots there to actually engage. But what are your impressions on what actually happened over the weekend?

Eusebius McKaiser, presenter

Lehlohonolo, a caller says the EFF's manifesto shows you how important it is for politicians to be educated.

I have not read the manifesto, but what I am trying to say is that it is very important as the leadership of a political party to have gone to school and understand these things.

Lehlohonolo, caller

Sello also called in and says there is no practicality in some of the things that are being said by the EFF.

We are being taken for a ride. One of the things that Malema said is that he wants to double the money that grant recipients get. The question is, how are you going to do that? Looking at the economic turmoil, it is not practical.

Sello, caller

Thandi another caller says she has gone through the manifesto especially the economic section and she believes the party needs to put more work in that section.
