'President Ramaphosa has to deal with corruption allegations during #Sona2019'

President Cyril Ramaphosa is expected to deliver his State of the Nation Address on Thursday in Parliament.

The president will be addressing the nation on what the government has done in the past year and what is on the table for 2019.

Dr Iraj Abedian, CEO at Pan-African Investments and Research Services, says Ramaphosa has bigger challenges on his hands having to tell the nation how he is going to boost the economy, as well as deal with the corruption by some of his cabinet members.

We are looking forward to a president who will give us an executive summary of what he is going to do for the nation bearing in mind that he has big challenges on his hands.

Not only is the South African economy not performing, investor confidence is not picking up and at the same time, there are elections ahead.

Obviously on top of his mind is to say the things, do the right things to ensure that he comes back as president.

Abedian says Ramaphosa will also have to address the nation on how he is going to deal with the corruption allegations revealed at the sate capture inquiry

These are no longer allegations, they are no longer suspicions, these are facts.

So to get our entire judicial system, law enforcement and equality before law back on track is his biggest challenge.
