'Bushiri is a man of God, ordained by God' claims Bushiri spokesperson

Shepherd Huxley Bushiri, known as Major 1 is the founder, leader of the Christian non-denominational evangelical church known as the Enlightened Christian Gathering.

Bushiri was recently arrested along with his wife for charges of fraud and money laundering.

The couple appeared in court on Monday and their case was postponed to Wednesday.

To give clarity on who Bushiri is and answering claims about whether he is a false prophet or not, spokesperson at Enlightened Christian Gathering ChurchEphraim Nyondo, speaks to Bongani Bingwa.

Nyondo insists Bushiri is a prophet and not a fraudster.

Prophet Shepherd Bushiri is a man of God, ordained by God and whatever he does, he does under the authority for God.

He claims that all Bushiri's actions are sanctioned by the authority of the law of God, and all the miracles he performs are assisted by 'God' who helps him perform them.

It is God who performs miracles through him and if you read your bible, miracles are not extraordinary, they are part of the Christian faith.

Nyondo claims that Bushiri says his church is funded by various businesses he owns.

There is a difference between Prophet Shepherd Bushiri, the minister at Enlightened Christian Gathering Church and Bushiri the entrepreneur and that distinction should be clear.

The church is managed by directors in all the branches across the world and we have 178 branches across the world and we have a corporate office that manages all these branches.
