The truth about dieting for weight loss

Pants feeling a bit tight? Planning on shedding some few kilos?

Well, despite contrary belief, eating breakfast is NOT a good weight loss strategy.

According to health expert Vanessa Ascencao, sugar-laden breakfasts promote cravings and energy crashes during the rest of the day and should be replaced with nutrient-dense food containing fibre, good quality fats and small amounts of protein.

Weight loss is really simple. Calories are not what people should be focusing on.

People should be focusing on eating a whole food natural diet, away from processed foods.

Ascencao further states that people should focus on stabilising their blood sugar levels.

Every time you eat you produce insulin and it is a fat storage hormone.

She concludes that:

We are not eating a lot of vegetables and easy to digest foods. We are having a lot of processed, sugar-laden foods that are highly toxic to our bodies. We need to control our hunger.
