Le Roux says police received a call that a vehicle had broken down on the N2 incoming close to Borchards Quarry. The officers were approached by four people who said someone had been injured

The victim was taken to Groote Schuur Hospital. The two police officers are also receiving treatment in hospital for gunshot injuries. Le Roux says the officers and the team will receive trauma councelling.
