South African venture capital firm Knife Capital has announced it's investing in local low sugar cooldrink firm PURA.

The firm, best known for investing in tech, told Kieno Kammies why they've now chosen to venture into the beverage market.

We invest in innovation-driven ventures. We looked at 'back the jockey, not the horse'. This is a team of ex senior executives of Coca-Cola, SAB, Mars and Redbull.
