4 useful products to make your life easier when load shedding hits

Brights Hardware CEO Orlando Luis offers Kieno some useful tips on for products that can help us survive load shedding with less pain, both for home and business.

1. Surge arrestor

Due to the surges taking place when the power goes on and off repeatedly, Luis suggests a surge arrester device to avoid your electronic devices becoming damaged.

You can install a surge arrestor in your board which will cover all your appliances so you don't need multi-plugs with surge arrestors.

3. Gas cooker

Luis says there are portable cookers that work off cartridges with single plates. The cartridges also provide light.

4. Inverter to power TV and electronics

He suggests an inverter to watch TV and electronics. Some have solar capability but the deep cycle battery is enough to cover the 2 or 3 hours of load shedding.
