Vulnerability isn't a sign of weakness and can be your greatest strength.

Clinical psychologist Khosi Jiyane says it's about recognising the essence of human nature.

She says refusing to be vulnerable and living with a false sense of control can be detrimental.

Vulnerability is about openness and requires deep trust. Jiyane adds that vulnerable people usually risk their psychological and emotional security in order to put themselves on the line.

She says that can't have power over every event or circumstance and must learn to turn vulnerability into a strength.

Vulnerability is the lowering of boundaries.
