Thoriso Themane was killed in an alleged mob attack in Flora Park, Polokwane on Saturday.

Mandla Mona, a friend of slain Limpopo man Thoriso Themane, speaks to Bongani Bingwa. He says he is traumatised and more so after allegations that he may have been killed by such young boys.

Themane was killed in an alleged mob attack in Flora Park, Polokwane on Saturday in Limpopo Province.

A severely injured Themane was found by a passer-by in Flora Park before he was rushed to a hospital on Sunday.

A video of the senseless killing has gone viral and shows Themane being dragged through the streets while people plead for him to be released.

A video is also circulating showing a teenager in school uniform bragging about the killing, saying he will be protected because his father 'is connected' and is a policeman.

Limpopo police say four people have been arrested in connection with the murder of Themane.

This killing is really unfair, we grew up together and we had an opportunity to do better in life, and they took that from him.

Mandla Mona, Friend - Thoriso Thamane

He adds that there are many stories doing the rounds of how Themane was killed.

I heard that he was beaten up by these boys because they wanted to prove a point.

Mandla Mona, Friend - Thoriso Thamane

The police have not yet confirmed a motive for the killing.
