Just days to go till entries open for Otter Trail Run 2019

The world-renowned Otter Trail Run takes place this year on nine and ten October in the Cape's Nature's Valley area.

Race Director Marc Colins says the 'grail of trail' always attracts top international runners.

Last year the Otter African Trail Run was the final of the Golden Series, the best runners on the planet were here.

Past entrants have already been given early entry status, with phones ringing off the hook says Colins.

This past week we opened for the participants of last year's event, they get a week extra.

This is the first time entries are opening 'late', that is in the same year as the event.

Entries for people on the 'priority list' open on Tuesday, with public entries following on Thursday.

On Tuesday at ten o' clock it opens up for people on the priority list and then two days later it goes open for public entries. We've never actually made it that far, the entries normally sell out before public entry.

This year it's back to the classic course, running from east to west starting in Storm's River and finishing in Nature's Valley.
