'Do you love Cyril Ramaphosa more than you loved Nelson Mandela?'

According to the weekend press, white people in Gauteng will vote for Cyril Ramaphosa and in turn the African National Congress (ANC) in the upcoming national election.

Show Host Eusebius McKaiser poses a question to his listeners as to whether these reports are correct.

Read: 'I really don't see why it is rational to choose not to vote'

I have a question for white people who live in Gauteng, do you love Cyril Ramaphosa more than you loved Nelson Mandela?

Eusebius McKaiser, Presenter

And are you going to be the saviour of the ANC in Gauteng?

Eusebius McKaiser, Presenter

I would love to hear from white voters based in Gauteng, are you excited about voting for the ANC?

Eusebius McKaiser, Presenter

Caller Linda says if she had to choose between Cyril Ramaphosa and Nelson Mandela she would choose Mandela.

It is so good that I usually voted for the Democratic Alliance (DA) however since Cyril has come on I am voting for the ANC and that is all I am voting for. So for the white people in Gauteng, yes I love him as much as Madiba and I am voting ANC because of Cyril.

Linda, Caller

She believes Ramaphosa understands the business and the economic situation in which the country finds itself.

André also called in saying he is a white voter living in Gauteng and he will not be voting for the ANC.

I respect Cyril Ramaphosa being the remarkable businessman as well as a statesman more than a politician, but I can't vote for him and I can't vote for the ANC.

André, caller

On the other hand, I am not voting for the DA either because I am Christian and I cannot vote for a party that sanctions abortion and have taken away the death penalty. So I am voting for the African Covenant Party which is a new Christian party that has sprung up and is doing wonderful things.

André, caller

Bes, another caller says she is a DA supporter but since Ramaphosa has come into the scene, she is conflicted between voting for the ANC or the DA.

I am not very convinced by Mmusi Maimane but I like Cyril Ramaphosa so much and I don't know what I am going to do on voting day.

Bes, caller
