Three-year-old boy found in vehicle following hijacking

A three-year-old boy has been found in the back of his father's stolen vehicle after the pair were hijacked in the early hours of Tuesday morning in Randfontein.

The boy was discovered unharmed hours later in the abandoned vehicle near Grasmere.

Fortunately when we arrived on the scene, we did a very quick assessment of the boy and found that he had escaped injuries. Obviously, the quick reaction of the South African Police Service played a vital role in that.
