Teenager stabbed to death
A 16-year-old was stabbed death on Wednesday on his way to school along Fernhurst Road, Mondeor in Johannesburg.

A 16-year-old boy was found stabbed to death just outside the premises of Mondeor High School, south of Johannesburg on Wednesday.

EWN reporter Thando Kubheka says the boy's body has just been removed from the scene. Pathologists and police are processing the scene for clues.

Gauteng Education MEC has arrived at the school to establish exactly what happened and to brief the media.

His mother was also here crying profusely as you can imagine with the pain of losing a child.

What we know at the moment is that the teenager was on his way to school when the stabbing happened not far from the school.

We don't know who is responsible, but police are here looking for any information that will help them identify those who may be behind this fatal stabbing.

Schooling has been halted for the day.

She describes the very emotional scene as the news of the dead teenager broke earlier this morning.
