South African High Commissioner in New Zealand Vuyiswa Tulelo has expressed shock and sadness after a large number of people were killed in a mass shooting at two mosques in Christchurch on Friday. At least one gunman opened fire on worshippers.

Tulela says they have reached out to the foreign ministry in New Zealand but no South Africans have been confirmed killed.
