Investigations editor at Mail & Guardian, Thanduxolo Jika, says Radzilani has chosen not to take the VBS report for review but is rather suing for reputational damage.

Radzilani is the former Vhembe mayor who allegedly cried for a Christmas present complaining that she was only getting R300 000 from the deposits that were being put into VBS.

But what is interesting in her court papers, as much as she is complaining about reputational damages and loss of earnings. She says she was entitled to receiving any monies that came from anybody that is implicated in the VBS saga. She is basically saying that there was nothing illegal.
