School Radio - changing the way teaching and learning happens

School Radio on the Go was launched at Cannons Creek Independent School in Pinelands this week with the aim of a rollout at schools around South Africa.

Harnessing technology, the platform gives children a voice to help prepare them for life beyond school.

Head of School Radio at Go Radio, Ingrid von Stein explains the process and how the technology will work.

Everything is always in the best interest of the child. What we doing at Cannons Creek is pre-recording and editing. When I say we, I mean the kids. They are learning all these skills and before anything gets added up onto the playlist to be screened, it needs to be checked.

In monitoring themselves they know the difference between right and wrong. It is amazing to watch how the kids are teaching teachers - saying it is ok ma'am that you do not know how to do a voice note, let me show you.

What a great way to learn and share insight.
