[WATCH] Vegan Instagram influencer with 1.3M followers bust eating fish
Yovana Mendoza Ayres knows as Rawvana has an online business promoting a vegan weight-loss plan and lifestyle.
She was recently filmed by a friend eating fish in Bali. Watch as she tries to hide her plate with her hand, but followers have expressed outrage.
She took to YouTube with a 30-minute apology video, explaining how she had begun suffering from health issues including hormone imbalances, thyroid and menstrual problems - but insists this is not from her 6-year long vegan diet.
She has a website and sells vegan diet books and weight-loss plans.
Here she is allegedly eating fish...
Many of her followers are not impressed with her apology video below:
#Rawvana BROKE my heart 💔 I was diagnosed with pre-diabetic when I found her channel (along with other vegan YT influencers), changed my diet and life around! Why is this happening now? What is going on? 😢 pic.twitter.com/MCOm6CKsNl— Breann LaFaye 🌱 (@breannlafaye) March 19, 2019
YouTube is a dangerous place for health and “wellness” advice. I like this vegan’s critique of two big YouTubers who suddenly announced they are no longer vegan.— Trixie Reichardt (@gardentrix) March 27, 2019
