Ruby Chikwiri created a #DressAGraduate to help students who can't afford fancy outfits for their graduation day.

Most students in South Africa struggle with paying outstanding fees, which means they cannot graduate or get their certificate after completing a course.

Sadly, this also means they can't get a job.

When Ruby Chikwiri realised her plight of not being able to pay her outstanding fees, she decided not to give in to her woes and rather created a platform to help graduating students find outfits for their big day.

She asked social media users to donate shoes or outfits for graduates under #DressAGraduate.

I know exactly the madness that comes with graduating and all the costs that just add up so I thought let me ease a fellow graduate.

The #DressAGraduate received so much traction on Twitter with people offering to help.

The reception on Twitter has been incredible. Some publication have picked up on it and reached out...

Many people have reached out, from people who want to donate items as well as graduates who are in need of assistance.

Chikwiri is currently looking for a delivery company that is willing to assist her in getting the items to graduates in different parts of the country.

Those willing to donate contact Ruby via email at Ruby.Chikwiri@yahoo.com
