Agrizzi implicates senior ANC MP Cedric Frolick in State Capture Inquiry

Former Bosasa COO Angelo Agrizzi has implicated African National Congress (ANC) MP Cedric Frolick in the State Capture Inquiry.

Continuing with his testimony on Friday, Agrizzi told the commission that Frolick is among the people who were paid by the controversial company.

He’s alleged that the House chairperson was being paid R40 000 a month to resolve what he refers to as 'the company’s problems' with ANC MP Vincent Smith.

Eyewitness News reporter Bonga Dlulane reports on the proceedings.

10 years is the relationship that Angelo Agrizzi says they have with Cedric Frolick. He was convinced and told by Gavin Watson that Frolick was their man and even called him 'chair of chairs'.

He says when they had a problem with Vincent Smith that he [Frolick] the one who said let's look into it, he will make sure Vincent Smith plays ball.

It hasn't been clear if they paid him R40 000 for the ten years or if it started in 2010.

Agrizzi has also implicated ANC MP Vincent Smith who was believed to be "causing problems" for the company by asking “too many questions”. He says the payments were made in order to resolve this.

Smith was still a member of the Correctional Services Committee in Parliament. Smith is also alleged to have received payments.

He mentions a meeting with him [Smith]... Frolick managed to convince Vincent Smith to come to their side because he has also been implicated in receiving donations and renovations in his house.
