New beginnings – SA's beginner artist gets an invite to Louvre in Paris, France

This week's New Beginnings, we chat to a relatively unknown South African artist, Susan Proctor Hume, who has been invited by the Louvre gallery in Paris to exhibit her work at the upcoming “new artists of the world to watch” exhibit which started on 12 June 2015.

The Louvre is one of the world's largest museums and a historic monument in Paris, France.

I actually thought it was a joke, I thought it was a spam; I ignored it for about a week or so and thought let me do some research and I found out it was authentic

The Louvre will be her first ever formal exhibition. She mostly works with oil on canvas, however, has recently branched out into mixed mediums and is incorporating “found things” in her work.
