We are building the capable 4IR army which enhances the skills revolution that is required for people to be able to programme these machines, including making them.

Stella Ndabeni-Abrahams, SA Minister of Communications

In the previous revolution, we consumed all the technologies that are programmed by other people and manufactured by other people.

Ndabeni says government has made a conscious decision to include a variety of interest groups in the summit, including young people.

The aim is to ensure that every sector is represented.

It can't just be a technology issue. Agriculture and energy sector has to be brought on board, as well as health; because the only way to claim our space in the 4IR is when we are able to drive the digital transformation.

Stella Ndabeni-Abrahams, SA Minister of Communications

When these sectors and young people who innovate every day are not involved, it means we are not going to make an effective impact in the country.
