Zukie Vuka of #UniteBehind talks to Lester Kiewit about its protest and sit-in at Prasa's offices where it demanded train safety issues be addressed immediately following the death of a Cape Town CBD pupil.
He was hit by a train after the train from which he was alighting stopped far short of the platform.
Vuka says it wants to highlight the train crisis and is also demanding President Cyril Ramaphosa honour his commitment to meet with the commuter advocacy group. This follows the group's protest outside Cape Town Station when he rode a new Prasa train. The protest was met with harsh police action.
She says Ramaphosa promised to set up a meeting, but Tuesday was the last day of the 3-day agreed deadline and no meeting had been arranged.
