'We cannot be living in a country of corruption and no one is prosecuted'
Democratic Alliance (DA) leader Mmusi Maimane handed evidence over to the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) on Friday.
Maimane claims this evidence links African National Congress (ANC) secretary-general Ace Magashule to corruption.
Maimane joins Clement Manyathela on the Xolani Gwala Show to speak about his visit to the NPA.
Over a year-and-a-half ago, we opened criminal charges against Magashule on two particular cases; the one had to do with operation Hlasela and the other was on Frede Estina.Mmusi Maimane, Leader - DA
We are saying that subsequently, we cannot be living in a country of corruption and no one prosecuted.Mmusi Maimane, Leader - DA
He says the timing of this evidence is crucial and South Africans need to know where their vote is going to.
These are crucial times. South Africans cannot vote for corruption. We are voting for people who are going to end up back in Parliament and I can assure you that once they are back in Parliament and captured Parliament, who knows if some of these reports will be squashed?Mmusi Maimane, Leader - DA
