'Why couldn't Steve Hofmeyr have asked us to braai our SABC decoders instead?'

Comedian Lesego Tlhabi's alter ego, Coconut Kelz is in a tizz after Afrikaans singer Steve Hofmeyr's call for South Africans to destroy their DSTV products. It's a drive to boycott Multichoice after it banned content that includes him on any of its platforms.

She says although she supports the contentious performer, she loves her shows on DSTV.

I tried, but my special was on, so I couldn't do it.

Today is rugby so I can't, maybe next week though.

I do want to stand with him (Steve Hofmeyr), I just wish he'd rather make us braai our SABC decoders because there's a lot I like on DSTV.

Kelz also has rather extreme views on Caster Semenya's failed appeal to stop the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) decision to restrict testosterone levels in female athletes over middle distance events.

On Friday night, the Olympian won the 800 metre event in the Doha Diamond League meet.

According to Kelz, Africans have an unfair advantage because they run as a form of transport.

Africans run all the time, on William Nicol Drive they run to work... so it's an unfair advantage because we only run when we're in a race.

As we head into elections, black tax is also on Kelz's mind.

Mmusi (Maimane) is going to reduce it by reducing the number of blacks in the country.
