After South African Airways recently completed its 90-Day Action Plan which started late in 2014, Acting CEO Nico Bezuidenhout says that the airline has seen a marked improvement in their cost reduction.

The plan was a roadmap to stabilize the carrier and resume full implementation of a refined Long-Term Turnaround Strategy (LTTS).
The changes we affected have gone down fairly well, we announced saving of approximately R 1.25 billion and that came about by focusing strongly on cost reduction and changing some of our network operations. It was a lot of hard work done and is reflecting positively in recent months.
