Isaacs says residents have been queueing outside the voting stations since 5am to vote.
Elderly residents told Isaacs that it is important they make their mark to show their grandchildren the importance of voting.
Isaacs has since moved to Pinelands where the leader of the Good Party, Patricia de Lille is standing in the queue waiting for an opportunity to cast her vote.
City of Cape Town executive director of safety and security Richard Bosman confirmed that there are no major issues in the area but called on motorists to be extra vigilant on the roads.
