International election observers have praised the voting process in the Free State.
Speaking to Clement Manyathela on the Xolani Gwala Show, international election observer Urs Unkauf says they visited six polling stations in Bloemfontein and Petrusburg.
The Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) volunteers were professional and the process of voting was smooth.
At the polling station we visited first, the election process commenced later than it was intended but it was very well organised.— Urs Unkauf, International election observer
He says the only concern they raised with his team was with regard to the voting cabins.
The voting cabins were turned towards the public. I was wondering why they were not turned at 180 degrees. We were given the explanation it was according to a regulation provided by the IEC.— Urs Unkauf, International election observer
