William Kentridge shares what motivated him to become a great artist

Internationally acclaimed artist William Kentridge has officially been named Africa’s most influential artist in the annual ArtReview Power 100 list.

The Johannesburg-born artist has been involved in creating drawings, films, theatre and opera productions.

Kentridge’s work has been seen in museums and galleries around the world since the 1990s.
