CapeTalk Kieno Kammies speaks to Innovation for the Blind human resource manager Lidivia Hammond and Dis-Chem Foundation's Sherry Saltzman.

We are an organisation based in Worcester and what we do is cater for the needs for the visually impaired by giving accommodation and care for them.

Sherry Saltzman, Dis-Chem Foundation

Saltzman says because of the work that Innovation for the Blind does, Dis-Chem visited the facilities and were impressed by what they saw.

I received the most positive report back, saying how well-cared-for these people are, how they live with dignity. So what we are going to be doing is give you an in-store account to the value of R5 000 a month for a year and R5 000 cash per month for a year.

Sherry Saltzman, Dis-Chem Foundation

Saltzman says Dis-Chem will also list Innovation for the Blind's coffee brand into Dis-Chem stores.
