He says other responsibilities have been added to other departments such as Labour, which will now include employment, to focus on the creation of jobs.

Leader of the GOOD political party Patricia De Lille is among the executive and has been appointed Minister of Public Works and Infrastructure.

I have taken a number of considerations into account including experience, continuity, competence, generational mix and demographic mix, and regional diversity.

President Cyril Ramaphosa

The people I am appointing today must realise that the expectations of South African people have never been higher and greater than they are at the moment. Those people who I am appointing have a huge responsibility on their shoulders.

President Cyril Ramaphosa

I will be signing performance agreements with each and every one of the ministers and deputy ministers which will be evaluated regularly against clearly stated targets and performance outcomes. Where implementation is unsatisfactory, action will be taken.

President Cyril Ramaphosa

Ramaphosa says for the first time, women make up 50% of the ministries.

Half of all the ministers are women. We have also included a significant number of young people. This is in fulfilment of our commitment to giving young people roles of responsibility in all sectors of society.

President Cyril Ramaphosa

I would like to express my appreciation for all those outgoing members of the executive who served the country...
