Jarana resigns
It's reported Jarana cited the embattled airline's rising debt among his reasons for quitting.

It’s being reported that South African Airways (SAA) chief executive officer Vuyani Jarana tendered his resignation on Thursday.

Jarana was appointed as head of the beleaguered airline in November 2017.

His resignation letter apparently cites rising debt levels among his reasons for quitting.

He also says slow decision-making is jeopardising SAA's turnaround strategy.

It's expected Jarana will serve out a three-month notice period.

Just over a week ago, Phakamani Hadebe announced his resignation as CEO from state utility Eskom, for health reasons.
