City of Cape Town approves 10-year water plan to avert another crisis

The City of Cape Town has approved a 10-year plan to ensure it staves off another desperate water crisis.

The water strategy was approved last week, which includes plans for permanent desalination plants and better utilisation of groundwater.

Eyewitness News reporter Kaylan Palm says the plan is to ensure the city doesn't face Day Zero ever again.

The City of Cape Town and the Department of Water and Sanitation issued out a statement saying our dam levels are recovering quite well.
