Cape Town caracals under threat from rat poison and poaching

The Urban Caracal Project's Laurel Serieys talks to Kieno Kammies about some tragic occurrences surrounding the caracal population in the Western Cape. She explains the plight of these cats that are being poisoned and targeted by poachers.

These animals are widespread throughout the Table Mountain National Park but they have noticed that the numbers are declining.

This is attributed to these animals being hit by cars and rat poison that's left outside many houses.
