Is the EFF leopard ready to change its spots following latest legal loss?

In another apparent legal blow for the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), veteran journalist Karima Brown successfully won her legal case against the party in the High Court on Thursday.

The court found that the EFF contravened the electoral code following the publication of her cellphone number on social media by party leader Julius Malema.

Brown said she was subsequently threatened with rape and violence.

Thursday's verdict marks the second legal loss for the EFF in as many weeks.

Former finance minister Trevor Manuel successfully took the party to court for defamation last month.

Political analyst Ntsikelelo Breakfast isn't convinced the judgments, in either case, are likely to impact the party's modus operandi going forward.

I don't think that they're going to be circumspect or take a step back or reexamine their approach.

I think their behaviour is inspired by their ideology.
