'We will visit the two families of preschool kids killed by rat poison'

Two preschool children died after apparently ingesting rat poison at a Westdene preschool.

The exact circumstances leading to the deaths were still unclear. However, a case has been opened with the police.

City of Johannesburg health and social development MMC Mpho Phalatse who is in Westdene chats to Nickolaus Bauer on the Xolani Gwala Show.

I am in Westdene, and we have just arrived at the police station where we will convene, and we will be visiting the two families of the deceased children. We will also visit the facility which we have since closed down after we discovered that it was operating illegally.

She says they have regional officials working with communities daily to identify those that are not complying.
