[LISTEN] Opera-singing Uber driver auditions for CPT opera - #Update
Remember the gifted Uber driver who made headlines after he serenaded a passenger with his opera-singing talent last month?
Less than two weeks later, Cape Talk was the first to report the news that 27-year-old musicology graduate Menzi Mngoma would be auditioning for a role with Cape Town Opera.
On Wednesday, the Durban-born tenor's dream came true after he accepted an invitation to sing for the company.
He caught up with Pippa Hudson shortly after the audition.
They told me I should prepare one or two arias.
