This Saturday 15 June marks World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, aiming to raise awareness of elder abuse and how to prevent it.

Ikamva Labantu is a Cape Town-based organisation working towards socioeconomic improvement in some of the Mother City's poorest communities.

One of their key focus areas is the plight of the vulnerable elderly.
