Five homeless people have been found murdered around Muckleneuk in Tshwane and police are on high alert.
Gauteng Saps spokesperson Brigadier Mathapelo Peters says since the investigation began, police have managed to speak to two homeless people who have survived similar attacks.

Our police in Sunnyside have been working closely with the homeless people and engaging with stakeholders in terms of accommodating them and where they cannot be accommodated, they have been advised to sleep in groups.— Brigadier Mathapelo Peters, Spokesperson - Gauteng police
The police have been able to establish that the homeless people are attacked while they are asleep at night by an unknown person.
Members of the public are urged to report any suspicious movements of unfamiliar persons to the police.

Peters says they are not ruling out possibilities of a serial killer targeting the homeless but people should wait for the investigations to reveal the culprit.
