'Ramaphosa says Freedom Charter contained dreams nobody thought were possible'

President Cyril Ramaphosa says the State of the Nation Address (Sona) is about providing a vision and framework for the country.

Ramaphosa says the Sona was not merely about dreams, it was about the lived realities of South Africans.

Opposition parties widely criticised the president for dreaming during the Sona debate, saying they need details on the plans he has for the country.

John Maytham speaks to Eyewitness News reporter Gaye Davis on the Sona reply by Ramaphosa.

He defended his right to dream. He referred to the anniversary of the Freedom Charter.
