Next prime minister has only 100 days to decide on Brexit
Former British Prime Minister Theresa May was not able to push through the Brexit deal until she resigned.
Now the two contenders to succeed her, Boris Johnson and Jeremy Hunt, are hardening their attitudes to the European Union (EU).
To discuss Brexit, Ray White on the Xolani Gwala Show chats to Eye Witness News UK correspondent Gavin Grey.
It would appear that both candidates are now suggesting that £39bn divorce bill won't be forthcoming if a deal is not achieved by the time that they want it.Gavin Grey, UK correspondent - EWN
He adds that when the next prime minister takes over, they will have 100 days before the 31 August Brexit deadline to make a decision.
They are both saying yes if we don't get this sort of deal from the EU we might either forgo the entire divorce bill or part of it.Gavin Grey, UK correspondent - EWN
Grey says there is different legal advice with one saying that there is nothing forcing the UK to pay the divorce bill and others saying that the UK should be forced to pay something.
