Sassa helping Denzil Daniels register for social grant

General Manager of Grants Administration at South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) Henry de Grass says it is helping the Delft man who was returned home to his family after being found in Eswatini after 6 years.

Since the story broke Sassa has been in touch with the family but we couldn't do anything until the son had returned to the country. Now that he is back we were in touch with the family again.

We have asked our officials to immediately get in touch with the social worker at Karl Bremmer Hospital and liaise with the doctors where he is getting his treatment, for the completion of the disability grant form.

De grass says once that is completed and he has his ID document Sassa can process the application within ten days.

It is our understanding that he hasn't got his ID yet.
