Hanover Park residents cry for help from the government

Residents of Hanover Park are crying for intervention from the national government to deal with gang-related violence.

Hundreds of residents took to the streets on Wednesday morning in the hopes that the government will heed their pleas for more police in the area.

John Maythan speaks to Hanover Park resident Mansoer Arendse who says a lot of promises were made during the elections but nothing has been made.

It is not something we want to do[to protest]. It is becoming something we have to do and the violence is escalating so much it is unbelievable.
