Ramaphosa delivers keynote address at Digital Economy Summit
President Cyril Ramaphosa has delivered a keynote address at the 4th Industrial Revolution SA - Digital Economy Summit in Midrand.
The event, which started on Friday, has been described as ground-breaking and brings together partners from the public and private sectors, academia as well as civil society.
Earlier this year, the president appointed 30 members of the Presidential Commission on the 4IR (4th Industrial Revolution South Africa partnership) to assist the government to identify relevant policies, strategies and action plans that will position South Africa as a competitive global player.
Ramaphosa says the summit is forging a digital compact that is critical to the country's future.

He says if the ideas and initiatives that will come out of the summit are implemented, they will assist the government to address the seven priorities which include enhancing economic transformation, enabling the country to grow the economy and creating more jobs.Thando Kubheka, Reporter - EWN
